Enthusiasm, perseverance, unshakable faith, courage, avoiding the company of common people, are the six causes which bring success in yoga.

Overeating, exertion, talkativeness, adhering to rules, being in the company of common people, and unsteadiness are the six causes which destroy yoga.

Bad, like an out-law, outlier, like when Lao Tzu says, “care about people’s approval, you become their prisoner” (Tao Te Ching Ch.9)
Like not giving a f@&$ in mucking about in what the mob says.
Like so attuned to your inner vibration, your Soul is the only voice worth listening to.
Like knowing that compassion is a fierce path and no greater rebel yell.
Like controversial, like Prince.
Like results aren’t the sadhana, practice is.
Like not wasting your time in things that don’t bring joy.
Like not being coddled but so loved you welcome the hate, because you transform it.
Like OI, Organic Intelligence.
Like marching to the beat of a drummer most people can’t even hear.
Like practicing next to a Devi in her 70s who looks like she’s in her 50s, standing on her forearms.
Like at home in any situation.
Like liberation.

We rejoice and love how many people are getting on their mats, still there’s only a handful that are bad enough to practice yoga. That’s the company we like to be in.

We don’t presume to know.
Our abundance is in letting go.
Love is the only law.
Satsang is Bad Company.

In Yoga we dwell,
Jeffrey
