THE NATURAL TEACHER

200hr Training Immersion

with Jeffrey Cohen
Assisted by Hanna Attafi

This is not a quick certification.

It is a month of practice, study, discipline, sound, philosophy, devotion, and repetition.

You will practice.

You will write.

You will probably get humbled a few times.

You will read.

You will listen.

Perfect. That’s how learning works.

The training is rooted in the same spirit as the shala itself: serious about the work, warm in delivery, musical, alive, and grounded in lineage.

This training is for aspiring yoga teachers.

It is also for serious students who know there is more here than exercise and want to stop circling around the edge of it. You don’t need to be the most advanced person in the room or have it all figured out. What you do need is sincerity, and the ability to keep showing up.

If you’ve ever felt that yoga is asking more of you than just attendance, this may be your next step.

  • “To anyone who is considering becoming a yoga teacher or wants to deepen their knowledge in the spiritual practices, the Natural Teacher training was and is one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I have been a movement teacher for over a decade in the Pilates and Gyrotonic methods and was thrilled last year when they announced they would be teaching a teacher training here in Charleston. Without an ounce of hesitation I signed up!! This teacher training deepened my knowledge and thirst for the true origin of why I was drawn to yoga in the first place. We studied Sanskrit, chanting, Kriyas, Arati, Meditation, Yoga Sutras, Anatomy, Asana and so much more..... basically it was a mind blowing experience!!!! I have such deep Gratitude and Love for everything they have taught me and continue to teach everyday... "

    —Kim Miles

  • “Being a part of Satsang and the Natural Teacher Training program is something that has changed my life tremendously, and I know the seeds that were planted with you all, continue to sprout and grow. It is something I always wanted to do for myself, and I now know that it's much bigger than that, it's for every person I come in contact with. My three teachers and everyone there inspires me, and I hope it is something many others get to experience as well.”

    —Michelle Brewer

  • “I can barely put all my sentiments in to words. How do you describe something out of this world?? Satsang's Natural Yoga Teacher training is the best teacher training in Charleston. You will walk away not only with the capabilities to be an incredible yoga teacher, but you will walk away with a renewed commitment to the practice, with fresh eyes for the world, and an extraction of unhealthy thought patterns replaced with seeds of divine grace. It's a life changing transformational experience. Whether you are young, old, 10 years deep into your practice or 6 months in, this training is for you. If you've ever taken their classes you know Andrea and Jeffrey deliver ancient wisdom in a down to earth, fun manner. Now picture getting that for 200+ hours. Priceless. You will not regret the money or time spent. This is an investment in your education and health."

    — Abigail Martuscello

  • “I will always remember and treasure being part of the 2016 Natural Teacher Training program at Satsang Yoga. I traveled 12 hrs every weekend for the training with Andrea, Jeffrey, Dove and fellow Satsang trainees. Having recently experienced both deep physical and emotional trauma I was uncertain that I’d be able to meet the demands of a rigorous yoga teacher training. There were most definitely tears and self-doubt at first but I stuck with it. Each weekend I left with greater strength and a natural deepening of connecting to Source. The drives to and from Virginia were a blessing too and allowed time to reflect on the teachings and my personal growth. Don’t let any length of a commute get in the way of you joining. If you want to do it-do it! I have been teaching yoga since 2009. It wasn’t until after this training that I feel I am truly taking the seat of the teacher and allowing the teaching to flow through. I still get in the way sometimes but the natural base is always there and runs deep like the roots of a magnificent tree. I am deeply grateful for the full experience provided by the Natural Teacher training. Get Real-Do it!”

    — Martha Kastler
