COME AS YOU ARE.

WE’LL TAKE IT FROM THERE.

Whether you’re joining for the first time or returning to your regular rhythm, this is where practice begins.

FIRST VISIT

  • If you’re new, Soft and Slow Class, All Levels, and Beginners Vinyasa are great places to start.

  • A yoga mat, water, and whatever helps you feel comfortable practicing. You could also rent a yoga mat from us, if you would like to. If you have questions before you come, just reach out.

  • You can, but booking ahead is the easiest way to save your place and see the most current schedule.

  • Nothing too loose since it could restrict your movement. Anything you can move and breathe in.

  • A few minutes early is ideal, especially for your first visit.

  • Ask us. We’re happy to help.

  • No. All are welcome.

  • No. But the practice of yoga is a system that enhances the spiritual essence of all faiths.

Practitioners come from many varied beliefs and all walks of life. We advocate and practice inter-faith tolerance.

  • Anytime we want to be inspired, whether we are at a sporting event, religious services, a rock concert, or need to clean our house, some type of singing is involved. The singing helps us to transcend the mundane and tap into our vibrating nature.

  • We advocate a daily practice, but patience is paramount. For those just starting, move from once to twice a week. Then, gradually increase to two and three. A minimum of 5 classes a week is a realistic goal.

  • A full stomach can make class unnecessarily uncomfortable. Most yoga masters recommend refraining from food at least 2 hours before class.

  • No! Yoga opposes no age group and no one. Of course, flexibility and strength changes over time. With patience and consistent practice, everyone's health and well-being improves, as does the proficiency in the postures that is right for you.

  • There is no requirement and no one's keeping score. Your most important tool is your breath. If you find your breath has become rushed, overly exhaustive, or you lost it altogether, pause a moment and take your time, watch the other students. Besides, no one can do every posture!

  • Again, not a requirement. Your mind must be flexible before your body is! Don't worry, you'll get there we promise.

  • The foundation of a strong, life transforming practice is Ahimsa, non-violence. A diet free of animal products is such a practice and greatly reduces mass suffering - but everybody is doing the best they can. No one can force a food decision on you. With information and observing how various foods make you feel when you practice, you are then able to make an educated decision based on what is best for you.

  • Do not harm

    Do not lie

    Do not steal

    Be modest

    Do not be greedy

Be clean in thought, word, and deed

    Be content

    Work hard, be disciplined

    Study

Dedicate your efforts to the Divine
